Peer Mentors receive full training, and membership of the volunteer peer support group to enable them to support the Armed Forces families

Some of The Ripple Pond members kindly volunteer their time to help organise and facilitate our face to face group meetings to support veterans families. These members are known as Group Administrators and receive some basic initial training in order to undertake this role then on-going support through the team. We really appreciate all they do to support the charity and the invaluable face to face meetings simply wouldn’t happen without them.

We are busy developing our Volunteer Programme and are currently recruiting for Peer Mentors from both within our membership and outside.  The Peer Mentors provide 1:1 practical support and guidance to members of The Ripple Pond who are experiencing a particularly challenging time. This enhanced support is tailored to each individual to meet their specific needs and is designed to be for an agreed set period of time to enable them to move forward.

If you have an idea for fundraising or would like to fundraise on our behalf but need some help with knowing where to start please contact us.

Our network of trained volunteers provide practical and emotional support for new and current members across the UK. If you can offer 2 hours a week and would like to get involved please get in touch.

Thank you for choosing to support us, The Ripple Pond relies on external donations and grants to be able to continue to offer peer support.
