Volunteers
Peer Mentors receive full training, and membership of the volunteer peer support group to enable them to support the Armed Forces families
Some of The Ripple Pond members kindly volunteer their time to help organise and facilitate our face to face group meetings to support veterans families. These members are known as Group Administrators and receive some basic initial training in order to undertake this role then on-going support through the team. We really appreciate all they do to support the charity and the invaluable face to face meetings simply wouldn’t happen without them.
We are busy developing our Volunteer Programme and are currently recruiting for Peer Mentors from both within our membership and outside. The Peer Mentors provide 1:1 practical support and guidance to members of The Ripple Pond who are experiencing a particularly challenging time. This enhanced support is tailored to each individual to meet their specific needs and is designed to be for an agreed set period of time to enable them to move forward.
