Support Services

Providing peer support to the Armed Forces families who are supporting British service personnel and veterans who are living with a physical injury or mental illness.

We will put you in touch with others in a similar situation to give and receive support, to reduce the feelings of isolation that members of the Armed Forces community can so very often experience when they are supporting a loved one. 

We connect our members both face to face and virtually for them to offer genuine support and understanding to each other in a confidential and safe place.  We have strong links with many other organisations and will carefully signpost our members for other specific support as and when needed.

With members across the UK each with different experiences, we offer more than one avenue of support so members can choose which option or mix of options works best for them. We know not every member wants to meet face to face and some people would prefer not to use social media platforms, how our members choose to engage is entirely up to them.

Confidentiality, privacy and safety are paramount and we ensure all members adhere to our safeguarding policy.

Face to Face Meetings

Meeting with other members in your local area is a great way to share experiences and get support. There are Group Administrators who volunteer their time to arrange meetings with support from the office team, these take a variety of formats and vary from area to area. Some groups meet on a regular basis in a quiet, confidential space to listen and support each other. Other groups prefer to meet for a coffee or a walk. Whichever format a member chooses to attend they can be certain to  be welcomed with open arms.

Virtual Peer Support

We support members both within the UK and internationally, to ensure we can provide support to as many members as possible we hold regular online meetings via video messaging, which enables multiple members to meet together without leaving their home and removes the limitation such as location of face to face meetings.

WhatsApp Groups

Each geographical area has a WhatsApp group which is a great and convenient way for members to communicate  with others in their local area. These groups offer immediate access to support and friendship as well as being a way for members to arrange meetings between themselves.

Facebook Support Group

We have a private Facebook group which is only open to members and is
not visible to anyone outside of the group. 

It’s a great way of accessing support any time of the day or night. By posting on the Facebook page you are able to ask questions, seek advice or just chat to a huge range of members with a variety of knowledge and experiences across the whole of the UK and internationally. We also use this platform to communicate useful information to our members.
