We know all too well that free time can be a rarity to carers, which is why we always save the talks to our channels, to give Members the freedom to catch up in their own time.

MENTAL WELLBEING

THE LIFE HEALER

Spiritual healer, Clare, has been offering ongoing support to our members, providing regular guided meditation sessions. Often focussing on a particular theme or issue, Clare's sessions a combination of talking and energy healing.

the warrior programme

The team behind The Warrior Programme understand the unique challenges and demands faced by Forces families, and offer spouses, partners, adult children (over 18), siblings, parents and extended family members the opportunity to learn the skills to develop their self-reliance, confidence and self esteem. Rebecca Gallimore joined us to talk about everything from how to improve our self-awareness, communication and relationships, to how we can manage our negative emotions, and even how to introduce self-care.

keeping families in mind

Delivered by Sheffield Mind, Doncaster Mind and Rotherham and Barnsley Mind, 'Keeping Families in Mind' is a service that offers support and therapy to the families of serving and veteran Armed Forces personnel. We were joined by KFiM's Project Manager and Psychotherapist, Sam Mulholland, to discuss the importance of wellbeing.

KELDA WOOD | CLIMBING OUT

After a serious leg injury in 2002, Kelda Wood lost her Olympic dream, her confidence and herself-belief. Since then, Kelda has represented GB at the Paralympics, become the first para-rower to solo row over 3,000nm unsupported across the Atlantic, and founded Climbing Out, an incredible charity that focuses on helping people to rebuild confidence and self-esteem after life-changing injury, illness or trauma.
