RAF Veteran to walk 874 miles for Forces Families
Phil joined the RAF straight from school aged 17 and served 28 years, deploying all over the world including Germany, Afghanistan, Falklands, Balkans, and both Gulf wars.
UPDATE – Phil is now over halfway, having walked over 500 miles since the beginning of the year. This is an incredible feat and puts him in the top 2% of the individuals completing the walk. He is currently 156th out of 11,000 entrants!
“As an ex-serviceman I wanted to raise money for a charity that would help families of those still serving or retired, particularly those suffering with mental health issues. I asked a friend who had suffered with PTSD and he suggested The Ripple Pond because of how great they had been for his own family.”
We are extremely grateful to Phil for thinking of The Ripple Pond, the charity solely relies on grants and donations to continue to support the Forces family.
By donating to Phil you will be helping Forces families get the vital support they need to enable them to support their loved ones through difficult times.
